Chamberlain Awards 2011

The Chamberlain Awards is Birmingham City Council’s staff recognition scheme, rewarding excellent work from the council’s 60,000 employees.

The branding I developed for the 2011 event revolved around a ‘back to basics’ aesthetic, with a return to the studio for photography – where in previous years we had shot on location. This enabled photograper Kate Beatty to spend more time with each finalist, producing some excellent portraits for the final brochure. Liaison with the event producers ensured that the branding was integrated more than ever with the presentation on the night of the event.

Also for the 2011 event, I developed a WordPress-based website for the client, allowing them to use a simple CMS to provide quick updates to sponsors, staff and the public and also link in more closely with social media by providing a blog platform.
